Visitation for Mrs. Smith was held Sunday, March 31 from 2-6 p.m. and Monday, April 1 from 10 a.m. until noon with a funeral service conducted by the Rev. Matthew Warren and the Rev. Jack Stone following visitation at Austin and Bell Funeral Home in White House. Burial and committal service will immediately follow at White House Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Smith, age 49, of White House, passed away March 28, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer.

Jennifer was born Sept. 11, 1969 in Johnson City to Jerry and June Good Taylor. Jennifer spent her early years in Jonesborough but moved to Portland her sophomore year of high school. She graduated from Volunteer State Community College and finished her paralegal degree at Southeastern Paralegal Institute.

Jennifer worked as a paralegal for more than 27 years for John and Grayson Smith Cannon. She most recently supported Grayson at Phillips & Ingrum Attorneys at Law in Gallatin. She was a dedicated professional and very well respected by her peers.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Lee Taylor; and grandparents, Kyle and Elizabeth Wysor Taylor and Paul and Edith Moyers Good.

Jennifer is survived by her husband of 24 years, Mark E. Smith; sons, Matthew and Evan Smith, of White House; mother, June Good Taylor; sister, Jeanna Taylor both of Portland; in-laws, Kenneth and Fay Smith, of Hermitage; and numerous uncles, aunts, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts be made to White House Youth Soccer Scholarship Fund. Jennifer took great pleasure for many years watching her boys play soccer, and she also enjoyed the company of what have become lifelong family friends.
